The icon that you are saying, that is like a small circle is the "find my phone" function
To have it ON, just go to the App and select "Device" then select "More settings" and enable the function "Find my Phone"
Then, if you enable the function and press the icon in your smartwatch, your phone will start to vibrate or sound depending if you have it with sound on or vibrate only.
